Heidelberg, Germany

Our first stop in Heidelberg was the castle.  It was a bit run down compared to the other ones we visited but still it is a castle!  Germans love their beer.  This castle's claim to fame was their many kegs.

Each one of these things holds 55,000 gallons of beer.  There were many of them!  No wonder they lost the castle to their enemies.  No one was ever sober enough to fight them off.
