Snorkeling- Playa Blanca

Today we went snorkeling in Playa Blanca.  That is so much better than diving.  We saw lot's of great fish.  The two young boys that took us wouldn't stop staring at Kaeli.  They both dove down to the bottom to get her an oyster shell.  I had to keep one eye in the water and one eye on her.  I love being in the ocean.  The kids had their first experience with ""pica's""- little tiny jelly fish that sting.  We made it back to shore and we had a fun afternoon experiencing the culture here.  My kids got to try gallo pinto (rice and beans) which they eat at every meal and platanos which are fried bananas.  All day today I have been flooded with memories of my mission and the time I spent here.  There are so many little things that just make me smile.  I made the kids also try arroz con pollo (chicken rice), tres leches, and chiote.  I'm so proud of Kaeli for being brave and trying these things.  It's a big step for her.  I am so glad we made this trip.  Three macaw's just flew right by me.  The Costa Rican people have a saying ""Pura Vida"" which means no problem or no worries.  I am finally getting to that point.
