Our First Day!

After the whirlwind day on Wednesday trying to get ready to go and getting an hour and half of sleep- I was ready to just go to sleep.  I prayed that Josh would let me do that.  We had to leave for the airport at 4:00 a.m. and check-in went great.  My hopes were high.  The kids were all so tired and did sleep for the first part of the flight.  Without any warning Josh started throwing up which mortified Kaeli.  We were late leaving DFW and arrived so late in Miami that they didn't have a gate for us.  Our lay-over was very short to begin with and we had to RUN to catch our connection to Costa Rica. We were one of the last ones on the plane but made it on.  When we got to Costa Rica it took about 45 minutes to go through immigration so by the time we got through the bags were all out in a little room.   Everyone got their luggage but me.  Mine is no where to be found.    It took another hour to get our car because they tried to double the price upon arrival!  Got to love foreign countries.  It took me another couple of hours trying to track down some basic needed supplies like contact solution.  There is no walmart or grocery stores here.  We are in a little country town.  I hope my suitcase gets here tomorrow.  I would love to go to the beach and I don't have a swimming suit!
Our rental house is beautiful.  We have a great view of the ocean.  I went outside to take a picture of it and Josh followed me.  He slipped on some loose gravel and fell and cut his hand open.  It needs stitches but there are no doctors.  He is a trooper!  I have done my best to wash and clean it but it still looks bad.  Thank heavens I threw in that neosporin.  Rick makes fun of me when we travel but after today I don't regret my packing at all.  It's bedtime now.   We all need a good night's sleep.
