This year for our trip to Costa Rica we took Rick's sister and her family with us. My nephew Max is leaving to go on his mission to Brazil next week so this was his last family outing before he leaves. We had fun showing them around our favorite places and introducing them to passion fruit smoothies! I think we ordered at least a 100 of them in the 10 days we were there!
We went horseback riding and kaeli's horse wasn't fast enough for her!
Ben always had to be in the lead!
Ben enjoyed playing with the parrots who found his sunglasses really entertaining!
We went 4-wheeling and we were quite a site coming up in a row! We all got completely muddy and had to go get in the hot springs to wash off!

We went ziplining through the rainforest. Kaeli was so brave she let go and tried to be COOL!
My sister-in-law Christine was scared to death. She wouldn't let any of us talk to her! She tried to talk her daughter Mackenzie into chickening out so she wouldn't have to do it but Mackenzie loved it.
My brother-in-law Mike kept us all laughing!
Volcano Aerenal!
The best part of Aerenal is the Lost Iguana where we stayed at. The masages in the rainforest are awesome! I took Kaeli for her birthday and she loved it!
We went rafting down the Corobici river. We saw tons of crocodiles and some howler monkey, lots of birds (even some toucans), and iguanas.
It was so relaxing just sitting out on the beach and playing in the ocean. We built lot's of sand castles, went snorkeling, and read my book. The one down side of going in the rainy season is the mosquitos. I forgot how bad they are. My legs became a buffet feast. I think we will definely stick to the dry season. My boys had fun diving and everyone got certified. They want to try a different location now. I'm thinking Grand Cayman for our next trip!
