Setting Sail on the Disney Wonder!

For Spring Break this year we decided to do something we have never done- go on cruise.  This whole thing came about because Kaeli was complaining about my Florida trip with Kirsten and the fact that she wasn't invited!  She has a knack of getting just about anything from her dad if she tries hard enough so the cruise was her idea of "making up for it"!  Rick has been very skeptical of cruises so Disney seemed like the perfect solution because I knew they would not disappoint.  As a bonus, I knew I would get to go back to the park!  Of course, I was right about Disney.  Nobody does it better and the cruise was absolutely amazing.  They had so much to do we couldn't get to it all and the kids had their own hang out so we pretty much got a lot time to ourselves which was nice!
One of the fun things they had was pirate deck party!  We got right into the spirit of it!!!
So did everybody else!  It was a great night and Kaeli told us not to dance anymore!  We laughed and kept right on dancing until we made it up to front!
For me, the best part of the trip was docking on Disney's private island called Castaway Cay.  Who else would own their little piece of paradise in the Bahamas.  The water so clear and beautiful.  They had all kinds of activities to do there so we tried almost everything!  I'm not sure the kids appreciated my enthusiasm but we had a fun day just being able to spend time together uninterrupted.
The first thing we did was jump on bikes and ride around the island.  It has been a long time since I've done that!
Kaeli fell in love with her yellow beach cruiser so I promised to buy her one if she went to Hawaii!  I can just see her riding around Laie!
When it got hot in the afternoon I just took my beach chair down to water and cooled off!  They have an adult only beach which was heavenly!!!
One of the fun surprises of the day was a 5K race early in the morning!  I figured I'd better get up and run off all the desserts I had been enjoying!  Hands down, it was the best 5K I have ever run!  The tropical scenery made it even better!!!  I came in 10th place overall and 4th female.  I was very happy with my time!  I tried running on the boat but that didn't go so well.  I wish I could run that route all the time!!!
Kaeli wanted to go parasailing but they said it was a bit too windy.  I didn't think it was windy at all but instead we went and snorkeled with the string rays.  It was fun to feed them and swim with them.  Kaeli doesn't like them which made it even more fun to watch!!
