New Orleans!

After our swamp tour we drove to New Orleans and spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the French Quarter.  There is so much to see there  (good and bad!)

We took a carraige ride around the city and got quite an education on things.  Our carriage driver was funny-  I still can't understand what his name was but he loved the color purple.  Everything was purple- the carriage, the mule's clothes, his clothes!

The kids thought the human statues were funny and there was all kinds of music on every corner.  I love the old buildings down town and their ornate balconies.  We ate beignets at the famous Cafe du Monde.  Josh was covered in powered sugar and still wanted frozen yogurt after that.

It was a great weekend to be with family and the California crew!  We survived our long drive back listening to Breaking Dawn.  We wish the movie would be out already.
