Kidnapping Cyndi!

Sometimes life just throws some curve balls that knock you down for a brief moment.  My dear friend Cyndi had that happen to her so in the true spirit of King Benjamin's counsel for us to "mourn with those that mourn"  I decided to get on plane to Georgia and make her smile.  We have a special and uniquely long history of laughter which makes the job easy for me!  I called her husband and told him I was coming to kidnap her for 39 hours which is all I had.  I took my job very seriously-making sure I packed in as much as I could.  I think it was a success- I heard her laugh that I love to hear!!

Nothing is more soothing than the outdoors.  We went for a hike up to Anna Ruby Falls- It was
beautiful and very peaceful.  It was also a little chilly so we had to get sweatshirts to keep us warm!
Two waterfalls merge into a river.
We were brave and left them alone!
Seriously in the middle of nowhere Georgia is a small German Village.  It was so much fun.  The entire town has all these little shops.  Cyndi and I are excellent shoppers!
We panned for gems at a mine!  Cyndi found more than me!
I ate boiled peanuts for the first time!

Everywhere we went was a new adventure.  Cyndi is the brave one- she always orders the weirdest food there is on the menu just to say she tried it.  I had many new food experiences that I didn't really care for but we had lot's of fun shopping for shoes and many others things that I forgot in my haste.  No girls trip would be complete without buying an extra suitcase.  I think I now own about 20 of them.  My kids are set for life!!!  By the time my 39 hours  were over there were smiles and life goes on a little better.  I wish I had more time but we take what we can get and love the moments we get to spend together.
