For Valentine's Day we headed to one of our favorite places ever! We took a long weekend to go back and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. We started our adventure in Arenal and ended up in Playa Hermosa. We love the hot springs at Tabacon! We didn't get any pictures of the river rafting trip we went on. That's because the rapids were level 5 and we were hanging on for dear life. The boys thought it was the best thing we did. They also forgot to mention in the brochure that you have to zip line down to the river and the final one drops you vertical into the river which was about 100 feet. My haunting words of "just be brave" that I have always told my children when I wanted them to try something new came ringing into my ears when I wanted to just skip that!
The best zipline we have ever been on is in Arenal. It's long and fast and goes through the tops of the trees with tropical birds and howler monkeys.
I'm not a big fan of heights and this was 3,000 ft up. The boys love it so I try to endure:)
