Once every four years, the kids in our stake go on a pioneer trek. They dress up wearing pioneer clothes the whole time and push handcarts over a 20 mile trail. It was a great experience for them to understand our pioneer heritage. Both Josh and Kaeli got to go this year. It was fun to see them laughing and hanging out. Kaeli invited her friend Bobby to go who is not a member of the church. He was quite a good sport about the whole thing! I loved being able to share a little bit of that with them! I also brought treats to share which Josh's was so happy about.
Even after pushing handcarts all day they still had enough energy left for square dancing!
Just for fun I thought I would throw Ben's picture in here. Of course, he's not dressed up.
