Sometimes life throws some big curve balls and there is a need to get away for a few days just to catch your breath and to keep from going completely insane! I decided to steal Kirsten away for a few days just to have some sister time together!! There is a little place called Orlando that we both happen to love visiting! It seemed like the perfect spot to relax and have fun!! We stayed at the Universal Studios Hotel Cabana Bay which was so cute and very retro! That allowed us to enter the park an hour before opening time. We got to ride the castle ride, gringots, dragon challenge and get hot butterbeer all before there were an lines at all! So worth it!!!
We decided to go to Universal Studios- specifically to see the new addition to Hogwarts! It's such a fun place- they have really done a great job at re-creating the stories!
The Leaky Caldroun inside the Leaky Caldroun!!! The food there is so good!
They just opened up a new addition in Harry Potter- Hogsmeade
We got to ride the Hogwarts express which was so amazing!!!
#12 Grimmauld Place
Hagrid has a sweet ride!
There is no way on earth I could not be this close to Disney and not go get a pineapple dole whip! Just being in the hotel brought out the true Disney girl in me that will always be there. Our original plan was to spend three days at Universal Studios but we had to modify our plans a bit to add in a Magic Kingdom day!!! This was not a surprise to my husband - he says he called that one!
It always has been and always will be my favorite ride! Space Mountain is the best!!!
I think my favorite part of our whole trip was eating in Belle's Castle and taking pictures with Beast! No one can ever match the magic that Disney creates!!
Dinner was so yummy and we even got to try the Grey Stuff for dessert!
For a late night snack we stopped in to Gaston's Tavern and had a LeFou's Brew! Gaston even let us sit in his chair!! There is something magical that happens on girl's trips, like getting front row parking spots, getting into the castle without prior reservations, ect..., the best one was getting a great spot to watch the fireworks show and then being first in line for the new snow white and the seven dwarfs ride! Every minute was magical and truth be told I wish we would have had two Disney days and one Harry Potter! I may be just a little bit bias but this young spirited girl is feeling a little bit of her true age after three roller coasters which is kind of depressing but a new reality.
