Tonight we surprised the kids and took them to Six Flags! When they got home from school we told them we were going on a family service project- we got the usual questions: why? how long is going to take? what are we doing? Kaeli- is it going to get my hands all dirty (she really hates that!). After fielding the question and answer session we finally got them in the car. We haven't been to six flags for a couple of years. The last time we went Josh was just a little bit to short to ride the roller coasters. He was very upset about that because he wanted to ride on everything his brother and sister did. For all of our sanity's sake we waited until now so that Josh could ride everything. Going in the Spring is the very best time to go. There was no one there. You can walk on every ride without a wait. It's amazing!!! We rode so many rides in a few hours. After 4 big roller coaster rides I needed a nice calm one. My spirit is willing but I am getting old. My poor body can't handle that much G-Force any more. Since this was Josh's first chance at riding the "big ones" he wanted to go on them again and again. We left that up to his older siblings!!! We watched and waved to them after the first ride!

Nice hat cowboy!
Josh and Kaeli won these capes by hitting the bell!
Ben won this by shooting hoops!

No trip to Six Flags would be complete without a funnel cake!
Josh chose a "Pink Thing" as his treat!
Who is this guy? I think I recognize him a little bit!
